Hometown Hero of the Week: Justin Alderman, August 13th, 2025

Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Justin Alderman, firefighter with the Wake Forest Fire Department.

Justin grew up around the fire station in Wake Forest. He got on the department at the age of 14 and with permission from his high school principal, Justin started his Firefighter certification, and also his EMT training. On his 18 birthday he received his EMT certification and after High school he attended Wilson Community College and graduated with Associate Degree in Fire Protection Technology.  Justin was hired full time with the Wake Forest Fire Department and moved up to Lieutenant.  Justin also works on his days off with Youngsville and Brassfield Fire departments. Justin is married to his wife Jennifer and they have two beautiful daughters 5 and 3 who he loves very dearly, plus a son on the way.

Thank you, Justin, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do.
