Hometown Hero of the Week: Rebel Coombes, September 7, 2022

Our QDR Hometown Hero of this week is Rebel Coombes, Paramedic, Lieutenant of the Youngsville Search and Rescue Team, and a Commander of the Wake County Honor Guard.

Rebel was nominated by Stella McDavid who says, “Rebel has dedicated 31 years of his life saving people and doing what he loves. If you call him a hero, he will just deny it and say he is just doing his job. He has been a paramedic for Wake County EMS for over 10 years. He is also a lieutenant of the Youngsville Search and Rescue team and a commander of Wake County’s Honor Guard. In his free time, he helps teach a youth program for future first responders. He is overall the best person I know!”

Thank you, Rebel, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do!
