Our QDR Gold Star Teacher of the Month of August is Elizabeth Hearn, a math teacher at Corinth Holders High School in Wendell. 

Her husband Jon nominated her and tells us, “I am a career army officer, and many times I am referred to as a hero and thanked for my service. The real hero is my wife, Elizabeth, who selflessly serves our community as a high school math teacher but also a mother to our children in my many absences due to military service. Elizabeth loves teaching the children of the future in offers her personal time to ensure they succeed in their dreams. She volunteers for school events, gives back to the community, and is a dedicated teacher, wife, and mother.  She is the strongest person I know, and she makes me a better and more capable person!”

Mrs. Hearn gets a plaque from Creative Images and a $100 gift card from Crabtree, celebrating 50 years!
