Cheddar Sausage Balls

Cheddar Sausage Balls

These warm, cheesy sausage balls make for a delicious appetizer or a just-because December treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey; mild or hot)
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups baking mix (like Bisquick)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened (optional, for extra moisture)
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Make the dough
Mix the sausage, cheddar, baking mix, cream cheese/hot sauce (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper until well combined.

3. Prepare for baking
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet, spacing slightly apart.

4. Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden and cooked through.

5. Serve warm
Serve and enjoy the warm, cheesy goodness!
