Hometown Hero of the Week: David Robbins Jr., October 4th, 2023

Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is David Robbins Jr., Assistant Chief of Franklinton Fire Department and the Deputy Fire Chief at RDU Airport Fire Department.

David was nominated by his wife Amanda who says, “David Robbins Jr. is the Assistant Chief of Franklinton Fire Department and the Deputy Fire Chief at RDU Airport Fire Department, for 22 years of combined service. He goes above and beyond for the community of Franklinton and the citizens that travel to and from NC through the RDU Airport. David grew up in the fire department and it became second nature to him. He loves helping others and saving property by putting out fires and he is also a NC certified EMT and works well with others.  When he is not serving others, he loves to hunt and fish. David also loves spending his days off with his family, two step-sons, and especially his little girl and soon-to-be second child. His work never goes unnoticed and he is very passionate about his career.
