Hometown Hero of the Week: Robert Walters, April 9th, 2025
Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Robert Walters, Paramedic for Wake County EMS.
Robert was nominated by his girlfriend Kim, who says, “He deserves to be the Hometown Hero of the Week because he is one of the best Paramedics in Wake County. He not only serves as a Paramedic himself, but he also trains others to do so as well. Paramedics and Med Techs are truly the first on scene, he sees things we couldn’t imagine, he works long hours often putting in numerous hours of overtime and through it all he says, “I love my job”. In all his 30 years he has never had an altercation with a patient, he says this is due to always treating his patients with respect and dignity. Thank you, to all the Paramedics and MedTech’s out there for all you do!
