Hometown Hero of the Week

Hometown Hero of the Week: Kayla Dalton, April 2nd, 2025

Hometown Hero of the Week: Kayla Dalton, April 2nd, 2025

Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Kayla Dalton, a nurse from Nashville, N.C.

Kayla was nominated by Paige Cribb, who says, “It is with great admiration that I nominate Kayla Dalton for recognition as an outstanding nurse, leader, and mother. Since becoming a nurse in 2019, she has dedicated herself to improving the lives of others, both professionally and personally. As a clinical manager of dialysis centers, she provides life-saving care and leadership, ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment. Beyond her demanding career, Kayla embodies selflessness and strength in her personal life. She is the devoted mother of four children—two biological children under the age of three, a foster daughter, and an adopted daughter. Balancing the responsibilities of motherhood with a leadership role in healthcare is no easy feat, yet she does so with unwavering love, patience, and grace. Her commitment to helping others extends beyond her family and career. In the wake of the most recent devastating tornado, Kayla heroically rescued multiple individuals from a fallen building, demonstrating incredible bravery and compassion in a time of crisis. Her willingness to put herself in harm’s way to save others is a testament to her extraordinary character.”

Thank you, Kayla, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do.
