Our QDR Hometown Hero of this week is Jon Barbour, a firefighter for the town Four Oaks.

Jon was nominated by his sister Brittany who says, “My brother deserves to be recognized as a Hometown Hero because he is so passionate about giving back to the town that has given so much to him. Raised in Four Oaks, the Barbour name runs deep in the town’s history. As a young man in his 20s, Jon decided to join the Four Oaks Fire Department as a volunteer to give back to his community. He has assisted on multiple types of calls where he increased his knowledge and gained experience to make him a better firefighter. Recently, he helped save a local family in a neighboring town when their home went up in flames. Four Oaks is blessed to have him on their team.”
