Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Ryan Wood, Senior Firefighter for the City of Raleigh.

Ryan Wood, a seasoned firefighter with 19 years of dedicated service, exemplifies commitment both professionally and personally. Serving as a Senior Firefighter for the City of Raleigh, a member of NC-Task Force 8, and a Captain with the Princeton Volunteer Fire Department, his passion for firefighting is evident. Recently, he deployed with the Task Force to aid in Kentucky evacuations. Beyond his demanding roles, he cherishes time outdoors and actively participates in coaching his children’s sports teams, balancing his professional dedication with his roles as a husband, son, and father.
