Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Charles Knowles, volunteer firefighter for Newton Grove Fire Department.

Charles is a big family man, a great husband to my sister and an awesome Daddy to my niece, nephew and his fur babies. He has been a volunteer firefighter with Vann’s Crossroads Fire Department and currently serves on Newton Grove Fire Department.  He loves being a volunteer firefighter, loves a fire truck (especially when he is behind the steering wheel) and is a big supporter of his hometown, Newton Grove, and all surrounding communities. Charles wears his turn out gear with pride and if he is at the scene of a fire or accident, he is going to be looking out for his fellow firefighters and doing the best he can to rescue anyone from harm. Charles is always willing to help his family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone without hesitation. If you know Charles you are blessed, and he has a big team that loves him and supports him!
