Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Alan Newcomb, Volunteer Firefighter for the Rosewood Volunteer Fire Department. 

 Alan was nominated by his wife Ashley who says, “Alan is an amazing father and husband! He has a heart of gold, loves his community, and would give anyone the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Alan is proud to serve with his father and his brothers on the Rosewood Volunteer Fire Department for over 10 years. Alan has always wanted to be like his father. Alan is also the department handyman, and he fixes things and trains the younger generation who are joining the department. The fire service is a big part of who he is. He is also a proud daddy of two beautiful daughters that love him.”
