Hometown Hero of the Week: Adam Hayworth, November 13th, 2024

Hometown Hero of the Week: Adam Hayworth, November 13th, 2024

Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Adam Hayworth, firefighter for the Zebulon and Rolesville fire departments.

Adam (my husband) has been serving the community since he was a young boy! He joined the Zebulon Fire Department as a teenager and served with their Explorer Group (basically junior fireman), until he was old enough to volunteer. After high school, Adam completed the required programs at Nash Community College to become a full-time fireman. He has worked and served for many local communities, Nashville, Rocky Mount, Knightdale, Middlesex, Zebulon, and Rolesville. Adam’s entire family has a servant’s heart and wears their heart on their sleeve. His dad, Tim Hayworth has been a law enforcement officer for over 30 years, including serving as the Town of Zebulon Police Chief for many years. Adam’s brother, Ryan Hayworth was also a sworn law enforcement officer. However, Ryan’s journey was way too short. He served with the Knightdale Police Office for 6 months. Unfortunately, Ryan and his training officer were hit by a drunk driver while responding to another minor call. Ryan lost his life that night. The entire Hayworth family is a true example of dedication and service. It is an honor to be a part of this amazing family.

Thank you, Adam, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q and $50 from First Horizon Bank to thank you for all you do.
