Hey friends, Amanda here! Our team at 94.7 QDR has recently partnered with the Frankie Lemmon School and Developmental Day Center to help them raise money for their day-to-day operations. This school means a lot to me, because it is where my little boy Jackson will be going to school in the fall to help with his developmental setbacks. I was overwhelmed when Jackson was facing so many therapy appointments, and I was not able to find a school that could help us. The Frankie Lemmon School is celebrating 60 years of helping so many in need, founded by a local family who had nowhere to turn when their son needed somewhere to go to school, somewhere he could receive extra love and special care.

I am proud to say that 94.7 QDR will be sponsoring the stage for their annual Gettin’ Piggy Event on Sunday, May 18th, at Trophy Brewing, along with Stihl, One 80 Counseling, Clayton Mirror & Glass, and R&H Produce Co. INC.

In 2023, the Frankie Lemmon School joined forces with Jake Wood and his team at Lawrence Barbecue and Chris Powers at Trophy Brewing for the inaugural Gettin’ Piggy With It. This team curated an all-star crew of heavy-hitting pitmasters to sling and serve ‘que, brews, and beyond at what quickly became the shindig of the season! Gettin’ Piggy With It brings together the hottest of pitmasters, chefs, and brews for a day of music, family, and fun. Get ready for a belly full of delectable bites as you enjoy this hog heaven!

Mike and I will be emceeing the event, and we will probably need a wheel barrow to get out of there, after tasting all of the amazing food. There is something for everyone, more than ‘que. We hope you can join us!
