The Fairgrounds Southern Ideal Home Show is celebrating their 40th Anniversary with all things BBQ at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds September 12 – 14, 2025!

Michael Mixon, pitmaster and host of the Food Network’s BBQ Rig Race, will be on stage Friday and Saturday. He’ll prepare his award-winning competition brisket and share his tips and tricks for the grill.

Sam Jones and Michael Letchworth of THE Sam Jones BBQ will discuss their whole hog barbequing process on Friday and Saturday. They’ll share their secrets to success — and BBQ samples, too.
