Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Kendall Marley, a full-time firefighter with Fayetteville and a part-time firefighter with Clement Fire Department.
Kendall was nominated by his mom, Robin Marley, who says, “Kendall began his service when he was 16, following in his Papa’s footsteps with a servant’s heart to help those in need. He became a volunteer fireman at 16 and upon completion of college he completed his firefighter trainings, EMT, and the Fayetteville Fire Academy to begin his career in the industry. He worked at Hope Mills Fire Department and is currently employed as a full-time firefighter with Fayetteville and a part time firefighter with Clement Fire Department. During his career he has worked many situations that put him in the position to save someone’s life. He doesn’t talk about those calls, but he gives 110% to every call and I’ve had many people tell me about the difference he’s made in bad situations and how respectful and loving he was during those times. He’s a new dad, husband, brother and son and most importantly he’s a servant, I know he is where God has called him to be and we are so thankful to be raising a hometown HERO. He’s also been Fireman of the Year at CVFD twice. Without a doubt he deserves to be recognized for the countless hours he sacrifices his time and family to rush to the needs of others during difficult circumstances.”
Thank you, Kendall, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do.
