Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is James Ellen lll, a paramedic supervisor with Halifax County EMS.

James was nominated by his sister Kathryn who says, “My brother has grown up in EMS. He started volunteering with Enfield Rescue Squad when he was old enough to ride his bike to the station. He continues to serve the members of his community as a Paramedic Supervisor with Halifax County EMS. Along with his other duties as supervisor, James has taken pride in educating the public regarding 911/EMS through our public relation events. I am truly lucky to have him as not only a brother, but a mentor. He is also an amazing uncle and we’re so proud of his accomplishments! Love you JayJay!”
