Scientists Reveal How Many Bulbs it Would Take To See Christmas Lights from Space

Your house could be spotted from space!

Remember the 2006 Christmas film Deck the Halls, when Danny DeVito’s character Buddy tried to make his Christmas light decorations visible from space?

Well, scientists have the answer on how many bulbs it would take to actually do just that.

They found you need 2,683 LED lights on your roof to be seen from space!

Researchers say that if there is minimal light pollution it is theoretically possible for a festive house to be visible from the International Space Station.
