Fursday: Big Boy from SPCA of Wake County

Fursday: Big Boy from SPCA of Wake County

Our Fursday Pet of the Week is Big Boy from SPCA of Wake County!

Now that’s a Big Boy! Big Boy is a super sweet and easy-going 10-year-old senior who is looking for a retirement home with a family to love him through his golden years. Big Boy was surrendered to the shelter when his previous family be came too elderly to care for him. He is good with kids and was always happy being the nap-time pillow for the grandchildren in his previous family. His owners said he is good with other dogs of all ages and energy levels, and he is very gentle and well-behaved around senior citizens. He has spent the past few years living outdoors, but his previous family said he is indeed housetrained. Big Boy isn’t too big on pets (although he certainly doesn’t mind them), but he is a low-maintenance guy who is perfectly happy to roll around in the grass or snooze his afternoons away in the house. Big Boy currently has heartworm disease, but not to worry — SPCA Wake is providing his full course of treatment, and soon he will be heartworm-free!

Big Boy is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $95. Interested adopters can get more information at spcawake.org.
