Peppermint Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 5 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups dark or milk chocolate, chopped
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Optional: whipped topping
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and chopped chocolate over low heat.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring slowly until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and heavy cream.
- Cook the hot chocolate mixture on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the peppermint hot chocolate with whipped topping (optional) and enjoy!
