Every Wednesday on 94.7 QDR Mike and Janie salute a Hometown Hero. They feature a fearless first responder who goes above and beyond the call of duty to protect and serve our communities. The truth is, every single person who accepts that responsibility is a hero and we want to honor EVERY first responder in the best way we know how… WITH A CONCERT!

QDR and the North Carolina Automotive Dealers Association (NCADA) invite you to help show how much we appreciate our first responders and their families during our “Salute To Service” celebration with Rodney Atkins and Tyler Rich.

Representatives from local fire departments, EMS and law enforcement offices will be at the event with several pieces of equipment and vehicles. Bring the kids to “touch a truck” and learn about their life-saving equipment.

Fire/EMS/Sheriff’s Office Representatives:

• Thanksgiving Fire Department will have a fire engine, brush truck, and UTV on display
• Archer Lodge will have a fire engine
• Selma FD will have a ladder truck on display
• Johnston County Sheriff’s office will have patrol cars, tactical bearcat vehicle, and rescue boat
• Johnston County EMS/Emergency Services will have ambulances, UTV, and their squirrel mascot
• NC State Highway Patrol will several patrol cars on site

Come hungry and thirsty!  Food and drink will be available for purchase including adult beverages.

Proceeds from the show will benefit local first responders through the North Carolina Automotive Dealer’s Association Hometown Heroes Charitable Foundation.

Date: Sunday, March 31st

Time: The event will take place from 1pm – 4pm:

• Come out starting at 1pm to meet local first responders, for the “Touch A Truck” event and to enjoy lunch from local food trucks.
• Live music will begin at 2:30pm.

Location: The Farm at 42 |  1075 Lynch Road, Selma

• Kids 5 and under are free.
• Kids ages 6+ do require a ticket.
• All seating is general admission and first come first served.  We will have limited seating available for handicapped and the elderly.
