Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Michael Thorne, Lieutenant for Wilson EMS.

Michael was nominated by his Fiancé Taylor who says, “Michael has been with the Wilson EMS for 12 years and he is now LT assistant supervisor. Michael performs his work duties with great joy in helping those in need, not only just his patients but his co-workers as well. Those that know Michael would agree that he puts in great efforts and goes above and beyond in work, and his community and family. Michael’s smiling face keeps those around him uplifted in their everyday roles. Michael has a heart and passion for everyone and would gladly take the clothes off his back for a stranger. He is eager and passionate about his people! We are so proud of Michael for fulfilling what he loves and honored to stand by him as he protects and serves our community! We love you honey!”
