Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Bruce Rose, Volunteer firefighter for the Grantham Volunteer Fire Department.
Bruce was nominated by Andrew Johnson, who says, “Bruce is a dedicated member of the Grantham Volunteer Fire Dept and is always willing to help someone in need when the need arises. Just recently, we went out to eat together at a local restaurant, and I began choking on a piece of food. He quickly sprung into action and performed the Heimlich maneuver and saved my life. Bruce currently serves as a lieutenant with the Grantham Volunteer Fire Dept and does an awesome job any time there’s a call for service. Bruce currently resides in the Grantham community with his girlfriend Hannah Hubbard and operates a farm raising cattle and poultry.”
Thank you, Bruce, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do.
