Hometown Hero of the Week: Andy Jackson, August 21st, 2024

Hometown Hero of the Week: Andy Jackson, August 21st, 2024

Our QDR Hometown Hero of the Week is Andy Jackson, Firefighter for the Four Oaks Volunteer Fire Department.

Andy was nominated by his wife Christie who says, “Andy is a married father of 3 from the Four Oaks community. He donates countless hours as a volunteer in this community. He has been a member of the Four Oaks Volunteer Fire Department for 33 years, where he previously served on the Board of Directors and as Lieutenant and Captain. He is the President of the Four Oaks Civitan Club where he has been a member for 20 years. He also serves as director for the baseball, t-ball, and soccer programs. Andy spends innumerable hours in this volunteer organization, making sure registrations are complete, coaches are selected, practice and game schedules are done and preparing fields and grounds for play. He has served as a t-ball, baseball, softball, and/or basketball coach every year. He is an amazing coach who loves teaching the kids of our community. He also serves on the Southern Johnston Baseball Association’s Board of Directors. He is a member of Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church where he currently serves as a Deacon.”

Thank you, Andy, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do.

Hometown Hero is brought to you by First Horizon Bank.
