Our QDR Gold Star Teacher of the Month for February is Hannah Harrison, teacher at Brier Creek Elementary.

Hannah was nominated by her mom Catherine, who says, “This is Hannah’s first year teaching, and since graduating from N. C. State in May (Go Pack!), she has created a fun and inviting place for her class to learn. She loves her students and believes that each one of them has amazing potential. She’s willing to put in whatever time and effort is necessary to help her students learn and works to create fun and exciting lessons. Because she’s fluent in Spanish, she can even help the Spanish-speaking students in her class which makes them and their parents feel recognized and appreciated. I know I’m biased, but she’s doing a great job at Brier Creek Elementary. I’m so proud of her. She definitely deserves to be your Gold Star Teacher of the Month!”

Hannah received a commemorative plaque from Creative Images in Cary, $100 from Crabtree to shop at Auntie Anne’s, and an additional $100 to shop anywhere at Crabtree, a community staple for more than 50 years! Her picture will also be featured on the jumbo screen at Crabtree, just below the food court for the month of November.
