Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Jonathan Miller, a long-time volunteer firefighter.

Jonathan Miller deserves recognition for his 28 years of dedicated service as a volunteer firefighter because his commitment reflects true selflessness, courage, and reliability. For nearly three decades, he has consistently put the safety of others before his own, responding to emergencies at all hours and serving his community without expectation of reward. His steady presence and dependability in times of crisis have made a lasting impact, offering reassurance when people needed it most. In addition to his years of service, Jonathan served as Fire Chief for nine years, a role that speaks to his leadership, trustworthiness, and deep knowledge of the fire service. During his time as Chief, he not only led the department through emergencies but also helped guide, mentor, and strengthen the team, leaving a lasting influence on both current and future members. He has played an important role in fostering teamwork, building morale, and creating strong connections within the community.
His long-standing dedication represents a deep sense of responsibility and pride, making him a role model and a vital part of the department’s continued success.
