Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Dustin Swinson, Paramedic and Training Officer with Duplin County EMS.
Dustin was nominated by Christy Faulk, who says, “Dustin goes above and beyond to ensure that any person he has any type of interaction with feels welcome and comfortable. Dustin started taking EMT classes before graduating high school. He now is a Paramedic and Training Officer. But he also teaches EMT classes! He makes sure to tell us stories so we can relate what we are learning to real life situations. I have heard stories from many community members that have seen Dustin in an emergency situation and been extremely impressed by his compassion. He is an awesome instructor and care provider.”
