BOLIVIA, N.C. (NCN News) — A Brunswick County grand jury has indicted a Former Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office sergeant following an investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
In April, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office requested the SBI to investigate an incident involving one of their deputies. After a thorough investigation and in consultation with the Brunswick County District Attorney’s Office, Timothy Michael McNichol has been charged with: One count of misdemeanor breaking and entering and One count of willful failure to discharge duties
McNichol turned himself in and was processed this morning. He was released on an unsecured $1,000 bond. His court date is 12/08/2026 in Brunswick County.
