Ingredients
- 4 apples
- 2–3 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg, optional
- 1 tablespoon butter, optional
Instructions
1. Prepare the ApplesPeel, core, and cut the apples into bite-sized pieces.
2. Combine the IngredientsPlace the apples in a saucepan with the water, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and nutmeg.
3. Simmer the ApplesCover the saucepan and cook over low to medium heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender.
