RALEIGH, N.C. (WPTF) – The Wake County Sheriff’s office has confirmed a 12-year-old girl died from injuries she suffered Tuesday (July 7) at Raleigh Beach.
The girl was pulled from the water around 11:30 a.m Monday and rushed to the hospital.
According to witnesses, a child was swimming when she went under and never resurfaced.
When first responders arrived, the child had already been pulled from the water. She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Raleigh Police Department, Knightdale Fire Department, and Wake County EMS responded to assist.
