Our QDR Hometown Hero of the week is Paden Harrison, Sergeant at the Orange County Detention Center!
Paden Harrison represents the true spirit of a hometown hero—someone who puts community above self and who shows up when it matters most. For nine years, Paden has served as a Detention Officer at the Orange County Detention Center in Hillsborough.
Beyond his work in law enforcement, Paden has given countless hours as a volunteer firefighter—four years with the Efland Fire Department and eight years with Orange Grove. Whether answering emergency calls, supporting neighbors in crisis, or training alongside his fellow firefighters, Paden has been a steady and selfless presence in moments when others needed him most.
Even with a demanding career of service, Paden still found time to give back to local youth. As a 13U travel baseball coach, he not only taught the game but also helped shape young athletes into confident, hardworking teammates—instilling values that go far beyond the field.
Paden Harrison’s dedication, humility, and unwavering service make him a shining example of what it means to be a Hometown Hero. His impact on the community is deep, lasting, and truly deserving of recognition.
Thank you, Paden, for your service to the community! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a $50 gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do.
