My name is Henderson, but my friends call me Survivor! I’ve been through a lot. I’m an active boy and a good learner; I already know sit, paw, and other paw. I can be anxious or jumpy and stressed–a hurricane will do that to you–but I’m also excited just to be here. I like treats, exploring, exercise, and working on my vertical. I’ll need calming exercises, lots of activity and enrichment, and an experienced/dog-savvy owner (or someone willing to learn in a hurry). Come see me today–let’s tell some stories!

Henderson is one of the animals we rescued from Western North Carolina which is why we named him after Hendersonville, NC! This boy has been through quite a lot and is ready for his forever home. As a reminder, APS is currently waiving all dog adoption fees!.
