Let’s get ZIGGY with it! This friendly guy loves affection, scritches, and some manly pats on the butt. Ziggy has had the royal treatment and experienced some doggy day outs with our volunteers, all nominating him for 15/10 good boy. We’ve learned that he loves to sleep under blankets; he hopes you don’t mind that he snores. Ziggy appears to be fully housetrained (no accidents in the home during his recent stay with a volunteer). He already knows “sit”, and “shake” with both paws. He is working on learning his new shelter name and on coming when called. On this same excursion, Ziggy was neutral when meeting the neighbor’s dog through the fence. He stayed calm seeing other dogs at Petco. He warmed up quickly to strangers and allowed petting. He did see a few people that he was concerned and grumbled about–he’ll benefit from slow intros. He is STRONG and can get excited; keep this in mind around people who might be knocked over by his wiggles. He’ll also benefit from loose leash training, especially around small animals, which he likes to chase. For this reason, he’ll likely do best in a home without cats. At the end of the day, Ziggy is a good boy with big ears and a bigger heart. He’ll thrive with someone who gives him a couple of walks per day, enjoys a Velcro dog, has time to put into training, and is strong enough to handle him on leash while he’s learning. Meet Ziggy today!
