Our QDR Hometown Hero Of The Week Is David Hawkins, First Sergeant For The Highway Patrol.

David Hawkins has served with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol since September of 1997. During his time on the patrol, he has served in many different capacities; such as the Highway Patrol Motor Unit, Criminal Interdiction Unit Sergeant, and currently serves as the First Sergeant here in Harnett County. Hawkins is a dedicated public servant, leader, mentor, supervisor, husband, and father to three boys. Hawkins is set to retire in October after serving the state of North Carolina for 30 years. The Troopers of Harnett County would like to say thank you for your countless hours and years of dedication to the State, and wish you the best of luck in your next chapter.
