Our QDR Goldstar Teacher of the month for October is Angela Woods, a 9th grade English Teacher at Garner Magnet High School
Angela was nominated by her mom Gayle Woods who says, “Angela is a 9th grade English teacher who loves each of her students with all of her heart! She overcame a severe stroke in 2012 that left her unable to talk or walk! The doctors said she would never be able to teach again but she proved them wrong! With her hard work and dedication to teaching she went back to work a few months later. She went on to get her recertification in National Boards. Angela has both her master’s and is NBCT! She goes out of her way to make her classroom a safe place for her current and former students to come and get extra help or just hang out!”
Angela Woods received a commemorative plaque from Creative Images and a $100 gift card from Crabtree, celebrating 50 years!
