Our QDR Hometown Hero of this week is Wayne Parsons, Assistant Chief at the Cape Fear Fire Department.

Wayne was nominated by his wife Tracey and the men and women that he works alongside who say, “Wayne Parson has a total of 29 years of service as a full-time captain and a volunteer assistant fire chief.  Wayne always looks after his entire shift at work and makes sure his crew goes home to their families after working hard for their community. If Wayne is not at work or running volunteer calls, you can catch him in the woods hunting or spending time with his family.”
