Our QDR Hometown Hero of this week is Bobby Thompson, 911 Dispatcher in Nashville, NC.
Bobby was nominated by his wife Wanda Thompson who says, “Bobby always wanted to be in a job that allowed him to help others. He served for 6 years in the Nash County Sheriff’s Office. He has worked for 4 years for Nash Emergency Services as a 911 dispatcher. He works with a team of individuals who are always there for us. Bobby and his team answer a call and they become your lifeline. They can talk you through CPR to save your loved one, help you deliver a baby, and advise you on how to stop the bleeding. While he is giving you lifesaving instructions, he is also dispatching fire, ambulance, or police. He is also a wonderful son and family man.”
Thank you, Bobby, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you a gift card to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do!
