Congrats to Ms. Shamera Pilgreen at Adams Elementary School in Cary, our Gold Star Teacher of the Month for May!

Ms. Pilgreen was nominated by Michelle Mintz who says, “I am nominating Shamera Pilgreen because she is so patient and calm with our kiddos and co-workers. I am learning and growing so much as her instructional assistant, even though I am older and have over 17 years of experience. We have students who were mostly non-verbal, who can now communicate. We adore our kids! Watching the dramatic change in them after she began teaching, has been the most rewarding year I have ever been a part of. Our kids love her, which made Covid transitions much easier than expected for them! She teaches ECS, K-2nd grade. I would like to nominate her for changing lives!
