Congrats to Mrs. Maria Eby at Dixon Road Elementary in Willow Springs, our Gold Star Teacher of the Month for April!

Maria Eby is a 4th grade teacher at Dixon Road Elementary. Maria was nominated by Melanie Theriault who says that, “Mrs. Eby shared with her class that one of the most requested items at the homeless shelter is socks, so her class held a “Socktober” sock drive. With the help of the school, community, and the local State Employees Credit Union they collected over 600 pairs of socks, a life lesson some of her students will never forget.”

Mrs. Eby is also in the running for the teacher of the year with Johnston County Public Schools.
