Hometown Hero of the Week: Faith and Jeremy Holland

Hometown Hero of the Week: Faith and Jeremy Holland

Our QDR Hometown Heroes of this week are brother and sister, Faith and Jeremy Holland. Faith Holland is a First Responder for Nash County EMS and Jeremy Holland is a Fire Fighter at Apex Fire Department.

Faith and Jeremy were nominated by family friend, Rebekah Green, who says that “Faith has a heart for people and is always doing her best to take care of or lend a helping hand to those around her and carries that passion onto the job. Not only is she a hero on the road, she’s a hero at home as well. Her older brother Jeremy was diagnosed with advanced acute myeloid leukemia in October of 2020 with little hope of getting through. In January of 2021, Faith was matched as a 100% match bone marrow donor to save her brother’s life, which is almost never heard of. In March of 2021, the transplant was performed and Jeremy is now cancer free and doing well with his wife and children thanks to his sister’s gift and the prayers for him! Jeremy is very humble and his faith is stronger than ever since his initial cancer diagnosis. God told us we needed a little Faith during this time, we just didn’t realize she was sitting right in front of us.”

Thank you, Faith and Jeremy, for your service! As a token of our appreciation, we’re sending you both gift cards to Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q to thank you for all you do!
