It’s tree lighting time in Raleigh, so we rounded up several tree-lighting events to kick off the holiday spirit!
Raleighites are invited to the university’s annual tree lighting on Tuesday, November 16th at 6:30 p.m, including a 30-minute service followed by the lighting of the 40-ft tree. A professional photographer will be on site for family photos in front of the tree, printed free of charge.
Join Downtown Raleigh Alliance for the tree lighting by Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin on Friday, November 19th from 5:30-8 p.m. at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts. Meet Santa Claus, enjoy food + drink vendors, and live performances. Arrive by 6:15 p.m. to catch the lighting. Bonus: A Triangle Pop-up holiday market will be at the event, too.
The North Hills annual tree lighting will be Saturday, November 20th from 4-7 p.m. Santa lights the tree at 6:15 p.m., and a Vendor Village includes items from local artisans. A craft tent will also be on site for kids to make ornaments + write letters to Santa.
Stop by Lafayette Village on Saturday, November 20th from 3-6 p.m. for a tree lighting celebration. Head to The Courtyard at 6 p.m. to watch the tree being lit, and enjoy shopping + music throughout the afternoon.
Diamante Arts & Cultural Center (NC’s oldest Latino Arts & Cultural Center) will hold their 18th Annual Arbolito de la Esperanza on Saturday, December 4th at 6 p.m. The tree lighting will feature traditional music + holiday refreshments — plus their toy, food, and funds drive for families in need.
