Congratulations to Deb Sharp, an EMT for Johnston County EMS. She was nominated and selected to win a brand new Carrier Heating and Air unit to be installed by our friends at Newcomb and Company.
We dedicated the month of September to our first responders and asked you to nominate a hometown heroe you felt has gone above and beyond and was in need of a new HVAC unit.
We were overwhelmed with nominations and wish we could have picked more than one winner. When it was all said and done, Deb Sharp was chosen as the winner. She been working as an EMT for Johnston County EMS for 10 years. She currently takes care of her 96-year-old mother and they’re current unit is on it’s last leg. With the colder months upon us, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for Deb and her mom.

She never misses work, and goes in early in the morning to work 24-hour shifts, with the heart and attitude to help people regardless of what situation she is put in. She is TRULY deserving of this amazing gift, as I’m sure there is plenty of others who are as well.“
