Fursday: Briles

Fursday: Briles

We are bringing back our Fursdays the safe way – through Zoom! Each week we will feature a local pet up for adoption through one of the amazing rescue organizations around the area.

Briles is an 8-year-old neutered male cat we rescued from the Caswell County shelter after he was surrendered there as a stray back in June. He is a really low-key, cuddly guy who seems to get along with everyone. He’s a staff favorite because of his sweet manner and super soft fur! He’s usually seen lounging around in our cat boxes or loafing on the floor. He loves attention and isn’t afraid to ask for it. He can be quite chatty and will hold a conversation with anyone who meows back at him!

Briles has spent some time in foster care and has gotten along beautifully with other cats! He’s also done well with children. He is afraid of dogs though, so he would prefer a dog-free home. And of course, as you can see, Briles has no tail! We believe he’s a Manx or Manx mix, so he was born naturally tailless and it doesn’t bother him one bit – it just makes him extra cute.

Briles’ adoption fee is $45.00, which includes his neuter, microchip, FIV/FeLV testing (he is negative), vaccines, and preventatives. Interested adopters can visit spcawake.org/cats for more information!

Our greatest needs at the moment are:

  • Monetary gifts to help fund our programs
  • Small (5lb – 10lb) bags of both dry dog food and dry cat food
  • Miracle Nipples
  • Powdered kitten formula (such as KMR Kitten Milk Replacer powder)
  • Cat litter (clumping and non-clumping)

Interested adopters can find more information at spcawake.org
