Congrats to Jennifer Cade of Neuse Charter School in Smithfield, our Gold Star Teacher of the Month for February!
Jennifer was nominated by Erin who shared:
Mrs. Cade is THAT teacher that kids (and parents) will always remember. She is the teacher who teaches because she loves it. She is the teacher who takes the time to get to know each of her students on a personal level – their likes and dislikes, their struggles and strengths, their situations at home, their learning styles – and SOMEHOW pools all of this gleaned information together and uses it to help each child learn in the best way possible for THEM as an individual. She is the teacher who will text a parent in the middle of the day to let them know their child had finally mastered a concept he has been struggling with. She is the teacher that will check in with kids over summer break to make sure they are ok. She not only volunteers her time after school multiple days a week (and on the weekends) to the junior robotics program, but persuaded 2 other teachers to help out so that twice the number of kids could participate. She refers to all of her kids as her “sweethearts”, and they refer to her as “the best teacher in the world”. You will not find a teacher more deserving of this award.
