Paige Johnson

The Malpass Brothers

“This is who we are… My brother Taylor and I do the type of music we do because this music speaks to us, and speaks to the souls of its listeners. For us, traditional country music is the ‘real deal’ – every song portrays life’s joys, heartaches, problems and happiness. It comes from the heart, and has depth and truth. Nothing is sugar coated.

Our goal, really, is to see this music be revived, to help ensure it doesn’t fade away. It is so encouraging to have young people come to our shows with a new interest in our ‘old music.’ Being able to introduce what we love to another generation feels like a great accomplishment for us. We want this music to be around for our children’s children…”  - Christopher Malpass

Briana Atwell

I'm a small town girl who learned to play guitar around the age of 10, since then music has taken over my life. I started out by making a YouTube page and now I'm singing at open mics and sometimes booking gigs.

I do write my own music, and my style of music varies from folk, to country, to Christian, and sometimes a little bit of pop.

Louis Waymore

Louis Waymore is a band, not a person. But if he was a person, he'd be someone you might recognize. Someone familiar.

The same can be said for Louis Waymore's debut release "She's Got a Gun". It's not "retro." Not a regeneration of something done before, but yet it's still familiar and easy to recognize for fans of true country music.

Songs that still have their roots in the rural world, where blowing off some steam on Saturday night is as important a tradition as repenting on Sunday morning.

By featuring both male and female vocals (with powerhouse singers Erin Wise and Adam Barbour) these songs offer relatable perspectives on the struggles and joys of life in the part of the world.

Nick Alligood

Nick combines every element of the South to demand and retain attention from fans nationwide.

Since day one, there has been a hunger to “fill the boots” of artist’s that have paved the ways for the modern industry, while keeping true to his own roots.  And, showing up in boots with a firm handshake can only help show there is promise in a world that is starting to be shadowed by negativity.

This great nation was built with hard work, and there is no denying the ethic that has gotten Nick to the point where he is at today. Helping to give a voice back to the class that demands one so powerfully, Nick doesn’t speak or sing with any twang or southern draws; he announces his message with a strong American Accent.

Dakota Blue

Dakota Blue formed in late 2013 from a group of friends just wanting to hang out and play music. Everybody that came into the band brought something different to the table from different playing styles to different interests in music.

Taking 70's classic rock and mixing it with old country and the latest country music chart topper and the unique sound of the band is what was heard. Playing a cover song here and there is something every band does but writing and playing original music is what the band is all about.

Bryan Mayer

With his towering height and powerful voice, Bryan Mayer, is making a BIG impact on the country music scene.

A North Carolina native, the six foot seven singer/songwriter began his journey in music when he was 13. The son of a US Marine Corp Colonel and a Navy nurse, while stationed in Quantico, VA, Bryan was tapped by his middle school teacher, Dr. Drake, to play upright bass in the school band, for his already impressive height of 6’1” in the seventh grade. Although Bryan enjoyed playing the bass, the lore of the front man aspect and realizing he could sing led him to pick up the guitar. After some impromptu performances at keg parties at his house in college at ECU, Bryan ended up on the Carolina sands of Oak Island, NC. It was there that he started crafting his style and gutting it out in any bar, restaurant, or private party that would hire him.

In 2008, he began writing and recording his first original demo album, “Long Story Short,” at the home studio/garage of his buddies and fellow North Carolina country rockers, Parmalee. Bryan sold copies of his album at shows and festivals all over Eastern North Carolina. Then in 2010, Bryan ended up with an opportunity to open for CMA nominated country artist, Love and Theft.

Singer/guitarist, Steven Lyle Barker, the inspiration behind Taylor Swift’s hit, “Hey Steven,” pulled him aside and praised Mayer’s great tone, strong delivery, and overall feel. Steven told him that Nashville and country music was where he was destined to be. “I hung out with Steven after watching he and Eric play, and realized he was right.

Marshall

Country singer, storyteller and entertainer Marshall makes dynamic, homespun music based on his everyday life and observations about the human condition. Packed with soul and grit, his tunes are radiant with infectious guitar melodies, rollicking rhythms and nostalgic poetry.

Marshall channels his fresh, frank views on love, loss, self-discovery and moving on through his gravelly voice seasoned with a drop of sweetness. A generous and engaging performer, he connects to audiences through his energetic live shows, inviting them into his expressive inner world.

Marshall's solo debut, Sinners and Saints features six heartfelt songs that bloom from a place of deep honesty and real-world experience. Produced by two-time Grammy nominee Travis Wyrick (Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, Shinedown) in Knoxville, the material on the EP flowed out of Marshall when he moved to Nashville after the brutal end of a long-time romance. The album is brimming with heartbreak and hope and shows his growth as a songwriter as well as his ability to glide through many musical styles, including modern and retro country, rock, folk and everything in between.

A passion for music has coursed through Marshall's veins since his childhood split between rural West Virginia and North Carolina; he hails from three generations of accomplished musicians and singers. He came up listening to country radio hits by artists such as Restless Heart, Lonestar, George Strait and John Michael Montgomery, often while riding around in his uncle's truck.

On New Year's Day when he was 16-years old, he discovered his father's old bass guitar in a closet and started learning to play it while experimenting with throwing together his own lyrics. Before long, he was seeking out concerts with friends, playing in bands and putting poetry to music, embracing that he was fated to be a country singer/songwriter.

Emily Minor

Standing at a mere 4’ 11’ and weighing 100 lbs. soaking wet, Emily Minor is like a surprise at the bottom of a Cracker Jack box. Dubbed “a modern day Brenda Lee,” she’s a “Little Miss Dynamite.”

Raised in a suburban area of Wilmington, NC, Emily Minor is an action-oriented, go-getter with intentional direction and absolutely no ceiling. She’s a “never say-never,” no-quitter with the natural-born ability to shine in the limelight.

From Merle to Madonna, Emily’s musical influences travel from one end of the entertainment spectrum to another, but she clearly draws from the storylines and sounds of the 90's.

“I like to incorporate the classic country sounds in my music. I like to write and perform up-beat, ‘turn-it-up-loud’ tunes, but am also drawn to writing a contemplative song that inspires. Naturally, I seem to write about emotions and thought-provoking topics. Writing is a vulnerable and raw place; you're putting yourself out there for the world to see. ”

“I think I have an old soul. When I write, my goal is not to come up with a product that is trendy, but that is relevant and remains true to my heart.”

Tim Elliot

Tim Elliott is a genuine rising country star who has built his touring business from the ground up. An authentic and passionate blue collar guy, it wouldn’t be a shock for his crew to see TE soiled in grease working on his own bus maintenance during a tour.

Known as a powerhouse artist in the Southeastern United States, Tim was recently voted Carolina’s Male Country Artist of the Year. He tours relentlessly and has gained a reputation for his quality live shows, without traditional boundaries. Some have called him “the human jukebox” for his uncanny ability to play so many cover songs; but it’s his original material that's making heads turn on Music Row in Nashville.

Tim is one of the founding members of Matthew 25:35, Inc., a non-profit organization which raises money to assist people in the community with a specific emphasis on feeding the hungry. He is also a passionate advocate for Crohn’s disease awareness; a disease that affects over 200,000 people each year in the US.
