This family was nominated by Lanie in Raleigh. She connected with them through her church. The mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer this past year and due to her illness hasn’t been able to work. She has 5 kids ages 16, 15, 13, and 8-year-old twin girls. Because she’s been out of work it’s been a huge struggle. The father and his family aren’t really in the picture to help. Lanie takes the kids to church with her and has been helping as much as she can.
Lanie tells us the kids haven’t asked for a thing this year and they do so much to help their mom especially on the days when she feels less than human. The smaller girls love to read and the boys are into video games, basketball, and art but what they could really use is clothes for winter like jeans, coats, sock, gloves, and undergarments. Obviously, Mom could use some Christmas cheer too, but what she wants most is to have her kids taken care of and give them the Christmas they deserve.
Kids’ clothing sizes are as follows:
- 16-year-old boy: size 40/34 jeans & pants, and 2XL shirt/coat
- 15-year-old boy: size 34/32 jeans & XL shirt/coat
- 13-year-old girl: XL top, and pant size 14-16 young women
- 8-year-old twin girls: 8-10 size top and bottoms
